History

    • Assan Panel's Azerbaijan facilities started operations in partnership with STP (Sumgayit Texnologıyalar Park).

    • Assan Hanil Gölcük Plant and Aksaray Plant started their operations.

    • A new investment of 22 million Liras was completed including production optimization and general improvements in Assan Gıda. Thanks to this improvement, the tomato processing increased to 4,500 tons/day whereas the production capacity increased to 1.5 million products/day.

    • The seats that were manufactured by Uçak Koltuk Üretimi Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Turkish Seats Industries - TSI), began to be used in the wide-body Boeing 777 aircrafts after Boeing 737-800. Now, Turkish Airlines’ 30th Boeing 777-300ER type aircraft now has locally manufactured seats.

    • In 2016, the foundation stone laying ceremony was held for the new facilities of İspak, a Kibar Group subsidiary working in the flexible packaging industry, with an indoor area of 25,000 m2, a total area of 60,000 m2 and a production capacity of 40,000 tons at the Kocaeli Asım Kibar Organized Industrial Site.

    • Assan Alüminyum obtained the 300th Research and Development Center Certificate from the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.

    • In 2015, İnteraktif Çevre Danışmanlık was founded in partnership with Heritage, one of the prominent companies in the recycling sector in the US. Thanks to the acquisition of the Manavgat Hydroelectric Power Plant as a result of a tender bid, a cost advantage was obtained for current operations regarding the energy sector. The aim was to help the Group become the top company in every sector it operates in.

    • Founded with the partnership of Turkish Airlines, Turkish Technic, and Assan Hanil, which is a joint venture between Kibar Holding and Hanil Seoyon E-Hwa from South Korea, Uçak Koltuk Üretimi Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Turkish Seats Industries – TSI) manufactured the first locally designed aircraft seat in 2014.
    • The first coil was taken out of the painting line at the Assan Alüminyum Dilovası Painting Facilities with a hot test during a ceremony on May 3rd.

    • The model i30 began to be manufactured at the Hyundai Assan facilities.

    • The Assan Hanil Paint Shop began operations.

    • Posco Assan TST began production on August 15, 2013.

    • The shares of the Assan Liman İşletmeleri A.Ş. were transferred to United Investment Limited S.A. and Galata Liman İşletmeleri A.Ş.

    • The foundations were laid for the Assan Alüminyum Dilovası Painting Facilities.

    • Following the foundation stone laying ceremony in April, the Kibar Industry Jordan Facility, the sandwich panel facility with the largest capacity in the Middle East, began operations in December.

    • The foundations were laid for the Assan Alüminyum Painting Facilities.

    • Posco Assan TST Çelik San. A.Ş. was founded. The foundation stone laying ceremony was held on September 28, 2011 for the facilities that are located at the Asım Kibar Organized Industrial Site in Izmit.

    • TSİ Uçak Koltuk Üretimi San. ve Tic. A.Ş. was founded with the partnership of Turkish Airlines, Turkish Technic and Assan Hanil Otomotiv San. ve Tic. A.Ş., one of the subsidiaries of Kibar Holding.

    • Kibar Industry Co. was founded in Amman, Jordan.

    • Kibar Enerji Dağıtım A.Ş. was founded.

    • Assan Panel Dilovası Metal Painting Facilities began operations.

    • Ege Assan Gıda Pazarlama San. ve Tic. A.Ş. was founded.

    • Assan Liman İşletmeleri A.Ş., the third container port in the Mediterranean in Turkey, was founded.

    • Assan Panel began operations at its Balıkesir facilities.

    • Assan Gayrimenkul Geliştirme ve Yatırım A.Ş. was founded.

    • Assan Yapı A.Ş. was founded.

    • Assan Alüminyum began operations at the Dilovası facilities.

    • Assan Bilişim A.Ş. was founded.

    • Assan Panel İskenderun facilities began operations.

    • Kibar International was founded in Lausanne, Switzerland.

    • Assan Gıda San. Ve Tic. A.Ş. was founded.

    • Assan Hanil Otomotiv San. ve Tic. A.Ş. İzmit facilities began production in September.

    • Assan Hanil Otomotiv San. Ve Tic. A.Ş. was founded, which operates in the automotive subsidiary industry in partnership with the South Korean Seoyon E-Hwa.

    • Assan Lojistik ve Filo Kiralama was founded.

    • The foundations were laid for the Izmit factory of Hyundai Assan in September 25th, 1995.

    • Hyundai Assan Otomotiv ve Tic. A.Ş. was founded in partnership with the Hyundai Motor Company, an automotive manufacturer from South Korea.

    • Kibar Sigorta ve Aracılık Hizmetleri A.Ş. was founded.

    • İspak Ambalaj began operations within the Group.

    • Assan Panel began operations at the Tuzla facilities.

    • The distribution rights of Hyundai Motor Company, an automotive manufacturer from South Korea, were obtained.

    • Assan Alüminyum San. ve Tic. A.Ş. began operations at the Tuzla facilities.

    • Kibar Dış Ticaret was founded in order to carry out the foreign trade activities of the Group.

    • Kibar Holding A.Ş. was founded.

    • Kibar Sigorta began providing services as an Insurance Agency.

    • Assan Demir ve Sac Sanayii began galvanized manufacturing.
