The philanthropic businessman Asım Kibar was the guest of honor at an event organized for the Erciyes University Semiha-Asım Kibar Organ Transplant and Dialysis Hospital. Asım Kibar spoke with the patients during his visit to the hospital, which provides medical services not just for Kayseri but for patients from all around the region. Kibar thanked the university administration and the doctors for their hard work.
Having attended the “Asım Kibar Day,” which was organized on his behalf at Erciyes University (ERÜ), Asım Kibar visited the Semiha-Asım Kibar Organ Transplant and Dialysis Hospital and talked to the patients.
In his speech at the event that was organized by the Rectorate in the Faculty of Tourism Conference Hall, Kibar said, “Doing charity is like investing in the future. We are the people of this country, of this land. Investing in the places where we were born and grew up, devoting providing opportunities for our country and our hometown is our ideal. I’m happy to contribute to people’s future, health and peace by doing charity. We are proud of this service.” Pointing out the importance of sustaining and improving charity work, Kibar thanked the university administration and the doctors for their hard work and support.
The event was attended by the ERÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Muhammet Güven, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan and Prof. Dr. Karamehmet Yıldız, the Faculty of Tourism Dean Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa, the Faculty of Medicine Deputy Dean Prof. Dr. Hakan Poyrazoğlu, the Chief of Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Kudret Doğru, as well as many scholars and students.
Assoc. Dr. Murat Sipahioğlu, a faculty member of the ERÜ Faculty of Medicine Internal Medicine Nephrology Department, thanked the philanthropic businessman Asım Kibar for building the Semiha-Asım Kibar Organ Transplant and Dialysis Hospital, and said that all patients that have received treatment there were grateful to Kibar.
Prof. Dr. Zeki Yılmaz, one of the former rectors of ERÜ, talked about the building phase of the Semiha-Asım Kibar Organ Transplant and Dialysis Hospital, which coincided with his term as the Dean, and stated that they provide medical services for patients from all over the region, not just Kayseri.
In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Muhammet Güven thanked all philanthropists that turned Erciyes University into a charitable institution. Güven said, “The distinguished Asım Kibar is one of these philanthropists who gave our university support. With this hospital, they have built an everlasting charitable institution. I’d like to thank the Kibar family for all of their support.”
