Kibar Volunteers have touched the lives of more than 10,000 children over the past seven years

December 2025

Established seven years ago by Kibar Group to bring its social responsibility activities under a single framework and promote employee engagement, the Kibar Volunteers initiative has touched the lives of more than 10,000 children.

On the occasion of International Volunteer Day, Haluk Kayabaşı, CEO of Kibar Holding, said: “Through Kibar Volunteers—one of Türkiye’s most successful corporate volunteering initiatives—we have reached more than 10,000 children and carried out 7,000 hours of volunteer activities, with a strong focus on education and children. As Kibar Volunteers, we will continue to touch hearts.”

Since its establishment in 2018, the Kibar Volunteers initiative has touched the lives of more than 10,000 children through its child and education focused activities, grounded in the principle of equal opportunities in education.

Over the past seven years, the volunteers have carried out approximately 7,000 hours of volunteer work in partner schools, together with 1,309 volunteers. They improved the existing physical conditions of schools, established new workshops, and carried out activities supporting children’s development in sports, sustainability, science, the arts, and life skills. A total of 189 activities were carried out at six schools in Istanbul, İzmit, Susurluk, İskenderun, and Dilovası within the framework of sustainable partnerships.

Haluk Kayabaşı, CEO of Kibar Holding, and also a Kibar Volunteer, said: “Our volunteers not only address the physical needs of schools, but also implement projects that support the social, cultural, and academic development of our children, who are the foundation of our future. For us, volunteering is a sustainable value that deepens over the years, growing ever stronger through our relationships with stakeholders. We will continue our efforts in line with this approach.”

Investing in the Future through Social Responsibility Projects

While Kibar Group continues to make meaningful contributions to education and children’s development across different regions of Türkiye through social responsibility projects centered on social benefit, the long-term support provided through Kibar Volunteers has begun to demonstrate tangible social impact.

The athletics track established at Tuzla Mimar Sinan Primary School, one of the schools supported by Kibar Group, has enabled students to achieve numerous national titles and set records since its opening last year. Through the Mind and Logic Games Club established at Dilovası Hacı Seyit Taşan Primary School, students achieved notable rankings in provincial-level competitions.
