Kibar Group has launched its ‘Green Transformation Action Plan,’ marking the new phase of its sustainability strategy. Under the plan to be implemented between 2025 and 2035, a total of 93 actions will be carried out to achieve 6 key objectives and 14 targets shaped around sustainability principles.
Kibar Group has implemented its ‘Green Transformation Action Plan,’ marking the new phase of its sustainability strategy. The action plan covering the 2025–2035 period focuses on six key objectives: "Net Zero Emissions by 2050", "Transition to a Circular Economy", "Access to Sustainable Finance", "Sustainable Management of Human Resources", "Sustainable Supply Chain Management", and "Development of Corporate Capacity". Within this framework, 14 strategic targets and 93 concrete actions have been identified.
Developed in line with the European Green Deal, the Paris Agreement, and international sustainability standards, the plan aims not only to ensure compliance with current regulations but also to lead environmental, economic, and social transformation across all the sectors in which it operates. The new action plan represents the next strategic phase, building upon the initiatives implemented to date under the Group’s 2025 and 2030 sustainability strategies.
Aligned with international frameworks such as the Paris Agreement and the European Green Deal, the Group has intensified its efforts to mitigate the impacts of climate change, accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy, and play an active role in the global sustainability transformation. The Green Transformation Action Plan is positioned as a key component of the Group’s long-term sustainability vision and its systematic planning approach.
2035 Vision for Green Transformation
Having contributed to global climate goals through its pioneering initiatives across various sectors, Kibar Group is now extending its vision to 2035 with its new ‘Green Transformation Action Plan.’ Haluk Kayabaşı, CEO of Kibar Holding, stated: “The Action Plan includes strategic steps that embody our goal of turning potential risks and requirements into opportunities, while also ensuring full compliance with global regulations. As an integral part of our sustainability strategy, the plan will guide the systematic, measurable, and effective management of our green transformation processes. This plan lies at the heart of our long-term growth strategy and our understanding of corporate responsibility. At Kibar Group, our goal is to go beyond mere regulatory compliance by leading the green transformation in our sectors and powerfully representing Türkiye’s sustainable industry vision on the international stage.”
Net-Zero Emissions by 2050
A wide range of actions is being implemented to achieve the net-zero emissions target by 2050, including the modernization of manufacturing processes, the rollout of electrification projects, the neutralization of electricity-related emissions, the creation of a sustainable supplier portfolio, the development of green transportation strategies, and the introduction of new sustainable products.
Circular Economy Model
As one of the key instruments for achieving the net-zero emissions target, the circular economy requires fundamental changes in current production and consumption habits. The Group aims to design and manufacture products in ways that extend their life cycle, reduce waste generation, and reintegrate them into the economy as resources at the end of their life. As part of its goal to enhance the sustainability of product life cycles, the Group is taking comprehensive steps to ensure the efficient use of natural resources, establish the necessary infrastructure for digitalization processes, and maintain compliance with EU regulations.
Sharing the Group’s long-term vision, Kayabaşı stated: “With our value creation model — a legacy inherited from our Founder, Mr. Asım Kibar — we are firmly committed to making our future stronger, more innovative, and more sustainable. The success of our green transformation journey will only be possible through a shared commitment with all our stakeholders.”
Empowering Sustainability Through People
In line with its vision for the sustainable management of human resources, Kibar Group is proactively preparing its workforce for the green transformation. Within this scope, a range of actions have been identified, including designing comprehensive talent development programs to build competencies required for the green transformation, developing innovative practices, and delivering training through new technologies, diverse learning environments, and digital platforms. Empowered by its deep-rooted corporate culture, the Group aims to cultivate the next generation of leaders in green transformation through these efforts.
The Supply Chain Is Also Transforming
Kibar Group not only enhances its own operational practices but also prioritizes sustainability across its supply chains through a responsible approach. In line with the goal of sustainable supply chain management, key priorities include building a sustainable supplier portfolio and encouraging suppliers to adopt sustainability practices. In this context, plans include strengthening suppliers’ environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance; classifying them in terms of alignment and compliance with the EU Taxonomy; establishing a reporting infrastructure; and providing regular sustainability training.
The Kibar Group’s ‘K-Star Supplier Sustainability Program’ stands out as one of the key initiatives implemented within this scope. The program aims to build a shared culture of transformation with suppliers and strengthen sustainability awareness across the entire ecosystem.
