Kibar Dış Ticaret, the foreign trade company of Kibar Group which is one of the leading industrial groups of Turkey, was granted the Metallic Star of Exports Award in the category of 'Aluminum Sheet, Metal & Foil' at the ceremony organized by İDDMİB.
Organized for the 8th time by Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association (İDDMİB), The Metallic Stars of Exports Award Ceremony was attended by Rıdvan Mertöz, the Chairman of the Executive Board of İDDMİB; Volkan Ağar, the General Director of Exports at the Ministry of Economy; Tahsin Öztiryaki, the Vice Chairman of Turkish Exporters Assembly; and Erdal Bahçıvan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry. At the ceremony, 78 successful exporters were awarded in 14 different categories such as iron and steel goods, aluminum kitchenware, aluminum construction parts, metal locks, metal furniture, iron and steel casting. Kibar Dış Ticaret, the foreign trade company of Kibar Holding which is one of the prominent industrial institutions of Turkey, received an award in the category of Aluminum Sheet, Plane and Foil. The award was received on behalf of Kibar Dış Ticaret by Haluk Kayabaşı, the COO of Kibar Holding, and Göksal Güngör, the CEO of Assan Alüminyum.
Exports to over 70 countries in 4 continents
Göksal Güngör, the CEO of Assan Alüminyum, explained that this success is coming from Assan Alüminyum's exports with its high performance in aluminum sales. Stating that they successfully completed the year 2017 with a delivery amount of 265,500 tons in line with their goals, Göksal Güngör said "Nowadays, we carry out exports to over 70 countries in 4 continents; mainly the EU countries such as Germany, France, United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. We have products that have important market shares for different fields of the sectors we provide services in, such as construction, automotive, packaging and consumer durables."
75% of the sales are carried out to foreign markets
Expressing that they export approximately 75% of their sales, Göksal Güngör stated that they provide exclusive supply chain solutions for their clients with logistic facilities in various countries. Emphasizing that they are increasing their activities in regions such as North America while going on with their activities in Europe, Göksal Güngör said "In line with our vision of becoming a company with a global culture, we aim to provide important developments with our Chicago office which will provide services in the North American market and to have more impact in the EU countries with our Düsseldorf office based in Germany."
