Kibar Holding Supports the Coronavirus Solidarity

As one of Turkey’s leading industrial groups, Kibar Holding supports our country in the fight it puts up in solidarity against the coronavirus outbreak, which continues to affect the entire world. In addition to its assistance to the Ministry of Health and hospitals and its donation to the campaign called “We are self-sufficient, Turkey,” Kibar Holding has implemented new practices for vehicle owners and healthcare providers with Hyundai Assan, one of its group companies.

Kibar Holding supports Turkey’s fight against the coronavirus. Noting that they have always been sensitive to social problems and taken responsibility throughout their history of nearly 50 years, Ali Kibar, Chairman of Kibar Holding, said, “With our 22 companies, we support our country’s fight against the coronavirus outbreak, which has spread from China to almost the entire world and affects our country significantly. Large groups like us have an important role to play in this issue. As Kibar Group, we have always been sensitive to social problems and tried to go the extra mile. We will continue to provide as much support as possible. I believe that we will overcome these difficult times through cooperation as soon as possible.”

Procurement of medications approved by the Ministry of Health from Korea

As part of the fight against the coronavirus, Hyundai Assan, one of Kibar Holding’s affiliates, is bringing approximately 1.1 million doses of medications approved by the Ministry of Health from Korea to Turkey on a private airplane in cooperation with the Embassy of Korea with the approval of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 600,000 doses of medications arrived at the beginning of the week, and the rest are expected to arrive on April 17. These medications will be used to treat approximately 80,000 patients.

In addition, the Kibar Foundation met the needs of Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and Kartal State Hospital for medical equipment and devices. Masks, gowns, and laryngoscopes were procured and delivered to the relevant healthcare institutions. Moreover, the group donated 1 million TRY to the campaign called “We are self-sufficient, Turkey,” launched by the President, and provided approximately 4 million Turkish liras’ worth of support to Turkey’s fight against the coronavirus.

Free disinfection service by Hyundai Assan

As part of the fight against the coronavirus, Hyundai Assan, which operates under Kibar Group, started to offer free disinfection service to vehicle owners who bring their vehicles to its service centers. Vehicles that need to be brought to service centers for maintenance and repair will be taken from the houses of their owners and delivered to the same houses after the operation. Moreover, Hyundai Assan’s service centers will serve healthcare providers free of charge in April. In addition, healthcare providers will receive a special discount on purchases of Hyundai vehicles.
