Chess and Intelligence Games Workshop in Susurluk by Kibar Volunteers

Kibar Group, bringing social responsibility activities together under the roof of Kibar Volunteers, made an addition to their support to education and established a Chess and Intelligence Games Workshop at Şehit Nusret Kula Primary School in Susurluk. Kibar Holding’s CEO Haluk Kayabaşı, who inaugurated the workshop for which the students were waiting with great excitement, stated that they are happy to contribute to the development of children who are the guarantee for our future.

Kibar Volunteers, Kibar Holding's in-house volunteering project, continue their support for education within the scope of their social responsibility activities. By Kibar Volunteers, Chess and Intelligence Games Workshop was established at Şehit Nusret Kula Primary School in Balıkesir Susurluk, where 182 students study. Kibar Holding’s CEO Haluk Kayabaşı, General Director of Assan Foods Hakan Koçoğlu, Susurluk District Governor Muammer Köken, Susurluk District Director of National Education Sami Akoğlun and school administrators attended the opening ceremony of the Chess and Intelligence Games Workshop which has the distinction of being the first workshop with volunteer work in schools in Susurluk.

13 Kibar Volunteers took part in the construction of the Chess and Intelligence Games Workshop, which can be utilized by 20 to 24 students at the same time, from the project phase till the end.

Kibar Holding’s CEO Haluk Kayabaşı, who gave a speech during the opening ceremony, stated: “Throughout its history of almost half a century, Kibar Holding has always operated dreaming the better for both its employees and the society. Education of our children is a prerequisite for a sustainable life and future. Kibar Volunteers, who make our group's social responsibility studies sustainable and create innovative projects especially on education and children, have carried out another project that we are proud of. After the Design and Skill Workshop we opened at Tuzla Mimar Sinan Primary School last year, we now continue to contribute to education with the Chess and Intelligence Games Workshop here, and we hope that the workshop will support the development of our children.”

Kibar Volunteers focus on education and children

Kibar Volunteers, the umbrella organization of the employees of Kibar Holding and group companies, consist of 685 people. Kibar Volunteers, who focus on “education and children” subjects in their corporate social responsibility studies, have organized more than 40 activities so far and committed themselves to over 1800 hours of voluntary work.
