A new workshop from Kibar Volunteers to Tuzla Mimar Sinan Elementary School

Kibar Holding, which carries out its social responsibility activities under the roof of Kibar Volunteers, has founded a workshop at Tuzla Mimar Sinan Elementary School. Having previously opened a Library, a Chess and Mind Games Workshop, and a Design-Skill Workshop, the Kibar Volunteers now provided the students with a workshop building in the garden of Tuzla Mimar Sinan Elementary School. The opening ceremony was attended by Haluk Kayabaşı, the CEO of Kibar Holding, Dr. Şadi Yazıcı, the Mayor of Tuzla Municipality, Ahmet Alireisoğlu, the District Director of National Education in Tuzla, Akif Güner, the Principal of Tuzla Mimar Sinan Elementary School, Managers of Kibar Group, teachers, students, and Kibar Volunteers.

With a focus on “Education and Children” in terms of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, Kibar Volunteers has added yet another project to the workshops it has opened at Tuzla Mimar Sinan Elementary School, which it has been supporting since 2019. In the past, Kibar Volunteers had broken a new ground among the public schools on the Asian Side of Istanbul with the three workshops they had opened in Tuzla Mimar Sinan Elementary School. The new workshop is built as a separate unit in the garden of the school and opened by Kibar Volunteers for the use of students with the occasion of April 23rd, National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.

Having launched its first event in 2019 with the theater play named "Sevimli Panda (Cute Panda)" in Tuzla Mimar Sinan Elementary School with over two thousand students, Kibar Volunteers has carried out 532 hours of volunteering activity in twelve various events with sixty volunteers at Tuzla Mimar Sinan Elementary School so far.

In the opening ceremony The CEO of Kibar Holding, Haluk Kayabaşı stated, "As Kibar Holding, we have contributed to activities benefiting our society for the last 50 years. For many years, we mainly focused on children and education in terms of our corporate social responsibility. The “Kibar Volunteers”, which operates with the participation of volunteers who work at various positions in Kibar Holding and its group companies, conducts significant activities impacting the life of children in this sense. Today, we have added yet another project to the activities that we have been conducting for the last three years. We are happy to open a new workshop where children can acquire new skills outside their course loads and have a pleasant and nice time”.
