Every successful project begins with a drop of an idea

Kibar Holding implemented the Mavi Damla Awards project in order to praise and reward the creative and innovative ideas of their employees and to share their success stories with the rest of the Group. With the motto “Every successful project begins with a drop of an idea and has a ripple effect,” the owners of the winning projects at the Mavi Damla awards, which included 24 different projects, received their awards from Asım Kibar, the Founding and Honorary President of Kibar Holding, and the members of the Executive Board.

As one of prominent industrial institutions of Turkey, Kibar Holding implemented the Mavi Damla Awards project in order to praise and reward the creative and innovative ideas of their employees and to share their success stories with the rest of the Group. The Mavi Damla Awards were organized for the first time this year with the motto “Every successful project begins with a drop of an idea and has a ripple effect.” 24 different projects competed for the awards. Six of the projects were selected as the winners of their category, whereas 3 projects received an honorary mention. The awards were given in a ceremony presented by Oylum Talu during the Kibar Holding Executive Meeting at Four Seasons Hotel. The projects competed in four main categories: Adding Value, Making a Difference for the Customer, Creating Collaborations, and Digitalization. The owners of the winning projects received their received their awards from Asım Kibar, the Founding and Honorary President of Kibar Holding, and the members of the Executive Board.

24 projects competed in a tight race

In the first year of Mavi Damla awards, which was attended by both white collar and blue collar employees, 24 projects that were selected by the Group companies competed. The contest was held on September 20-22, 2017 and began with the presentation of the jury. The category winners and the winners of the recognition awards were determined by the jury, which comprised of senior executives. Six of the 24 projects were chosen as category winners whereas 3 of them received an honorary mention. Assan Alüminyum and Assan Hanil received the most awards, with two category winners and one honorary mention each. Assan Gıda and TSI were the other companies of the group that received awards.

“The creative and innovative approach of our employees is very important to us”

Congratulating the companies and employees of the Group that received awards, Tamer Saka, the Kibar Holding CEO, stated that they are living in an era in which competition becomes fiercer every day. He said, “In order to achieve our goals at the Group, we are carrying out ventures that will help our companies take a step forward in accordance with our strategic priorities. In this context, it is our top priority to recognize and reward the creative and innovative approach of our employees.” Stating that he was glad to see there was a large turnout with 24 projects as the company winners, Tamer Saka said, “The jury comprised of the CEOs of the companies and the Holding’s Senior Management. I hope the Mavi Damla Awards create friendly competition between our employees for many years to come and contribute to the constant improvement of our Group.”

Sharing information about the Mavi Damla Awards, the Head of the Human Resources Department of Kibar Holding, Eşber Çekiç said, “We began the Human Resources transformation in 2014. At the beginning of 2017, we defined the Mavi Damla Awards process in accordance with the vision provided by our management and the Human Resources departments of our companies. We created the Mavi Damla Awards in order to support the culture that provides an opportunity for our strategic goals to come true. Our motto is “Every successful project begins with a drop of an idea and has a ripple effect.” Our goal is to make sure creative and innovative ideas are developed in all areas of the Group and to support our constant improvement culture by recognizing success both within the company and among the Group.”
