Kibar Holding was awarded the Silver Stevie in the category of “Best Youth Employment Strategy” at the Stevie Awards, one of the most prestigious business awards in the world, for its K-Team Young Talent Program providing university students with the opportunity to perform an internship in its subsidiaries.
Launched in 2014 by Kibar Holding with the motto of “Real Careers Begin with Real Internships”, K-Team Young Talent Program was awarded the Silver Stevie in the "Best Youth Employment Strategy” category at the Stevie Awards, one of the world's most prestigious business awards.
The winners of the Stevie Awards, where 600 projects from 24 countries competed this year, received their awards at the ceremony held in New York on September 20. The projects were evaluated by 12 jury members who were experts in their respective fields and the category of “Best Youth Employment Strategy” was included for the first time this year. “We are proud to be the first company to win the award in this category from Turkey," stated Şennur Kuru, Head of the Human Resources Department at Kibar Holding. Saying that they provided many university students with the opportunity to pursue a career within the body of Kibar Holding thanks to the K-Team Young Talent Program launched 5 years ago, she added, “We are improving the program every year. Last year, our recruitment rate for entry-level positions was 37%. Since we reach larger audiences every passing year, we review our selection criteria and quotas according to our recruitment rates. Especially the diversity of communication channels and the program's high recognition are the main factors that increase the number of applicants.”
Highlighting that the K-Team Young Talent Program differs from other young talent programs, Kuru said that they offer university students a real career opportunity and industry experience not after the graduation, but during the school period. She stated, “One of the advantages that make the program stand out is that it offers an opportunity to gain experience in different industries. The candidates admitted to the program have the opportunity of rotation during the internship period that allows them to gain experience in various industries before starting their professional career. By doing so, we aim to contribute to the early discovery of talents as well as providing a qualified workforce to the industry in no time.”
